MMM.. AREPAS!

HOW WE STARTED

Our philosophy is simple yet powerful: food can be both tasty and nutritious, and should be accessible to everyone. Whether you're vegetarian, vegan, gluten-intolerant, picky, or just a straight up carnivore, you will be treated and served with love.

From humble beginnings, in the urban capital of Venezuela - Caracas. Street culture and culinary arts inspired us to travel, discover and manifest our passion for food and multiculturalism through mixing flavors and settle in one of the biggest international hubs of the world - Amsterdam (We love our city).

As demand for homemade arepas keeps growing, we decided to continue with our dream! Bring an inclusive South American flavour to Amsterdam. That's the reason behind our Latin Brunch and all our food, we want to inspire a sense of community around one of the things that bring us together - FOOD!

The Arepa Shop represents not only a brand but a movement inspired by all walks of life. We're making good food with a lot of heart, for the people, by the people.

OUR PEOPLE & PLANET MISSION

Our people are humans of the world, everyone that works or stops by at Arepa Shop, loves diversity, traveling, exploring new cultures, new flavors and spreading a good vibe. We don't have time for anything else. Join our crowd!

Planet mission, simple: we need the world to still be here for next generations! We improve our practices and processes every day to ensure we contribute to take care of the world as much as we can.  Do you have ideas to make our work more sustainable? Reach out!

REAL FOOD

FOR REAL PEOPLE

Every food item in our Brunch and Shop is fresh!

Our golden arepas are handmade daily from scratch.

Our cooked meats, beans, and vegetables are prepared in-house.

Fruits and vegetables are sourced fresh daily from local and small vendors in the Amsterdam area. We believe in our local community, and are constantly seeking ways to support our local farms through our business.
